Our Frigidaire washing machine (model FWT449GFS) has suddenly quit spinning. The washing machine drains fine, but it will not spin. I have checked a couple of obvious things - the belt seems fine, but I don't really know what else to check.
This is a front loading washing machine that is only about seven years old.

Welcome to the DoItYourself.com forums :) Not the pro here, but from Frigidaire's site:

If the washer will not spin:
">>>Lid/door is not closed.
For your safety, the washer will not spin with the lid/door open. Close the lid/door securely.
>>>Dispenser drawer of tumble action washer is open.
Close the dispenser drawer completely.
>>>Load is too small.
Add one or two similar items to help balance the load. "

I'm fairly certain it's not one of the troubleshooting answers with respect to the washer not spinning. I was hoping to get some hints as to what some of the not so obvious things it might be. It is a front-load machine so the door is "locked" whenever a cycle is enabled. I don't know if there is a special indicator in a front-load washer door to indicate if it is closed.
