Hello,

Things were going great on my 100 year old house as I was replacing the vanity with a new sink. Until, I touched the drain pipe and the whole pipe was rotted and fell apart. I'm left with a 1 1/4 " drain at floor level. So, is there some rubber connector that I might be able to install that would go inside the the broken pipe and around the upper one. I wish there was enough of the pipe showing to put on a rubber collar.

Thanks

If the pipe above the floor fell apart in your hands, then don't bet the farm that the portion below floor level is in much better shape. I would seriously inspect all the rest of the drain and replace all necessary. Even if you could find an adapter, it would only be a bandaid on heart surgery.

Thanks for the advice. You're always hoping for a miracle solution but sometimes you just have to stick with the fundamentals. Ended up ripping the floor up and rebuilding the drain right.

Thanks again

Happy New Years!!!!
