Need to replace the PVC floor flange that is bonded to the inside of the drain pipe. Where can I get a tool for this, or how can I do it without a tool?
Thanks - happy holidays!

There exists a cutting tool just for this purpose, but I have not been able to find one 3 1/2" in diameter. The last one I did required me to use a short fine blade in my reciprocating saw, and cut exactly the depth needed to reach the outside of the flange without harming the vertical pipe. With 2 vertical cuts made about 2 inches apart, you can pry the edges of the flange to the center, breaking the glue bond and remove the pieces. You will need to smooth out the inside of the pipe you just vacated to accept the new flange.
It is not rocket science, but it will be tedious and nerve wracking.
Visit a plumbing supply house and tell them what you are trying. They may stock the cutter which fits into a drill and makes the job alot easier.
