Kitchen Large Electric Appliances - Kenmore Dishwasher won't drain

I have a Kenmore Dishwasher that is less than 1 year old and it won't drain. I don't know what to do, can someone please help me?

Most common problems are plugged drain hose or if you have had recent plumbing work, has the knockout for the dishwasher been removed ?

Drain hose or air gap (if you have one--required where I live) may be clogged. Could also be something wrong with the pump--maybe got some debris in it or malfunctioning. Timer could be malfunctioning. Could be drain valve is not opening. Drain valve works by the timer. Let's hope it is as simple as a kink in the hose or a clog in the hose. Check your Owner's Manual for troubleshooting tips and diagrams. Check your warranty, too. Service may be covered by warranty (parts may not).
