Building wall for 3 pc shower surround. Thinking about how to frame in hot & cold pipes up wall, have the shut off valves ready 8 inches from bottom of sill plate.
Do I mount single handle valve to back of a 1 X 4 piece of wood?
or should I strap both cvpc pipes to 1/2" straps on 1 X 4" wood above and below valve?
thanks in advance for any help or ideas!

HI, I wouldn't want to put any strain on the pipe so I would secure the valve body.
