i am installing a gas dryer vent in my new laundry room...is it ok that the wall insulation will be around the outside vent pipe in the wall..a friend told me this is not a problem,im just concerned about the exhaust vent pipe getting hot and the insulation being around it...the insulation is about 20 years old and in good shape,but im not sure if it is fireproof or if there is such an insulation..thanks for any advice ...
