We have french doors leading from our living room to the dining room. They open into the living room cutting into the room space- they are regular swing type doors- Can I pull the door jamb out and flipi it around so the doors swing the other way? (into the dining room)
How complicated is that?

Id say go for it . just take your time. You might have to buy some new trim to go around it.

It's not complicated at all. First you'd remove the doors from their hinges and take off the casing on both sides. Then you'd cut any nails and shims that secure the jamb to the rough opening (reciprocating saw would be best). The jamb will come out, you can turn it around and reinstall it. When you reinstall it, you might be able to measure back to the paint line around your trim as a way of centering the door exactly where it was before.

French doors are a little tricky to install and adjust, but if you run into problems you can always post back with questions. :)
