OK, I just finished hanging 50 sheets. I have done small drywall/tape/sanding projects in the past, but never have done anything this big. I have ceilings, soffits, walls, closets in this 560 square foot room. My question is, where do I start the finishing? Do I start with the ceiling and tape the joints first, do I do all joints first, then inside corners, outside corners etc.? What is the preferred method to finish a room now that all the rock is hung?

Any way that works for you :D

It is best to start with the ceiling but only because you might drop some mud on the wall - amazing how things never fall up :p I know pros that will send in helpers to mud all the nails/screws, maybe even the flat taping but it doesn't really matter - it all needs to be done. Whatever works best for you is the way to go.

Remember a big job can be broken up into just a series of little jobs.

Bite off small chunks so you don't feel overwhelmed. Mark had good reason for starting the ceiling first, I think I'd start there to get it over with since it's a little more difficult than the walls due to height.
