Help:
Just got a tatoo re-done on my arm and the big ban aid came off in the night, leaving a nice blood stain on my sheets. What is the best way to either pre-soak or get it out?
The sheets are nothing special, but are kinda expensive to just toss without trying to get clean...
Any suggestions?
Thanks and take care

Peroxide works great on blood. Just rub it in. For a real small amount of blood, your own saliva will get it out.

Enzymatic detergent like Biz and cold water. A little soaking before the wash wouldn't hurt.

Cold water is the key. Blood is a protein and hot water will "cook" it and set it as a stain. I've normally been able to get it out with just cold water before washing.

Thanks for all the great advise!
Cold water and a little detergent should do the trick.
Take care

yup cold water if fresh may just do it on its own. Extreme hot water will reactivate the pigment in the blood, not to mention it will help set the iron deposits. The red that is sometimes left over from blood cleanups, can be caulked up to the iron left. A rust remover can sometimes help this as well.
