Is there such a thing as this? Let me show you a picture of my garage ceiling...

I had to knock this strip of the ceiling out because I needed to gain access to the electrical wiring. It was either knock out the ceiling or saw through the subfloor on the 2nd story; this was easier. I don't mind leaving it like this, but for asthetic reasons it would be nice to have it covered up. Instead of installing new drywall, is there some sort of paneling available so that I could remove when I need to gain access to the wiring?

Yikes!! Did you really need to remove that much?
Patching with drywall would also mean texturing to blend it in. Access panels are often made of plywood, set in a frame and screwed inplace. Once painted they aren't all that noticable.
