When do I install the ductwork to vent the rangehood outside? Do I do it before the dry wall goes on the ceiling or after?
Thanks,
Pete

Before the drywall. Leave an 1-1/2" stub BELOW the inside of the cabinet top.

You should know what the hood needs for vent now and pipe it as such. like said get the roof jack in and pipe it down to what you need below the ceiling then drywall. If its on the outside wall can you go out that way?

Thanks, we're going with a chimney style range hood instead of a cabinet style range hood.
