We are remodeling our bathroom and noticed tonight that part of our counter has a higher gloss to it then the rest. Any ideas what would cause this and how to fix it?

I would contact the manufacturer and let them know of the problem. They may have a simple fix such as rubbing compound or polishing compound to bring out the sheen of the offending piece.

If it's a new cultured marble top, then it needs to be returned and replaced due to defective gel coat. If it is one that you are reusing as part of your remodel, it may have always been that way and you may not have noticed. Or, someone may have spilled something or cleaned it with something that damaged the gel coat. Some auto wax may restore sheen.
