Hi, gang -
I've got an old 19" (True Value) Lawn Chief elec. mower which needs a rocker switch & brushes. Sticker on it indicates it was made by General Power Equip.in Illinois. Dialed the 800 no. - outa service.
Any sources for parts for this thing? Hate to toss into the trash cycle & lose braggin' rights......

MTD bought General Power a long time ago post your model & serial numbers and we can look it up for you. Or if you have part numbers post those.

Check at a local alternator/starter rebuild shop, or electric motor repair shop. These places usually have brushes in nearly all sizes and should have some that could be used in your motor. The rocker switch might be found at radio-shack, an auto parts store, or electric supply house.

The rocker sw. looks heavy duty, with a pair of contacts inside it.
I'm gonna drop by a local big-time elec. distributor and bother them with this.
also- agreed-don't think the brushes will be a big problem.
