About one year ago I painted our bathroom. I put 2 coats of primer and then 2 coats of satin latex. It is now bubbling around the top of shower. We run the fan while in the shower and for about 30 min. after. What can I do about this? I have been to the home improvement stores but everyone looks at me and says they don't know what to do. I have been looking for something to put about 5 in. up and around the top of the shower walls but can't find anything. Did I use the wrong paint? I have to admit that my husband puts the heat as hot as it will go and as strong as it will go. The bathroom is totally in a fog by the time he gets out. Any suggestions would be exteremly helpful. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums
I think maybe the humidity of the hot showers is more than the exhaust fan can accomadate. Maybe you should tell him to start taking cold showers :D
While paint formulated specificly for baths might hold up better, the type of paint you used should have preformed well. Is the paint bubling near where the drywall meets the tub/shower encloser? If the gap between the two isn't caulked, caulking the gap may help to keep moisture from getting under the paint.

Thanks! Yes, most of the bubbles are just where you asked. There are a few about six inches up on the outside of the shower that are just starting. I checked the exhaust fan to make sure it was clean before I posted, just incase it was not running correctly because of being dirty. Now my question is this.... Why does an exhaust fan blow out air when it is supposed to suck air up. At least that is what I thought. I put my hand under the fan and you can feel air blowing down.

Your fan should be sucking air from the bathroom and venting it to the outside. You can take a peice of paper and see if it sticks to the grate. If it doesn't you need to install the fan in the correct direction and if that doesn't help, buy a new fan motor.
