I have a neighbor that recently refinished his tub with a product called "Tough as Tile". It's an epoxy substance that you paint on with a brush, using two coats to get a pretty decent finish in his case. Does anyone have any other personal experience with this DIY refinishing process? I have a tub that is surrounded by a nice tile wall and I would hate to replace it. Seems like this may be a very affordable alternative.

I've never used any tub paint but it is my understanding that the #1 cause of failure is lack of or improper prep. If you go this route you should make sure the tub is super clean, remove drain fitting and deligently follow directions.
