Is it just me or do the older craftsman wrenches seem to be cut better than the newer ones?

I agree. I believe it is true of most all hand tools. I had to have my craftsman yankee screw driver replaced 20 yrs ago [reverse died] It had a wooden handle and was slightly larger than the one they replaced it with. I got my first cordless drill shortly afterward so the new yankee screwdriver sits in the bottom of an unused tool box :p

I agree as well. I inherited some tools years ago from my mechanic grandfather that are probably 70-80 years old now and I'll use them over newer ones whenever I can.

Everything has become cheapened with the advent of cheap chineese junk. Craftsmen hand tools still seem to be a good buy, although other things with the Craftsman name are the same chineese junk.
