i am looking to purchase a 10" table saw for average homeowners use. i am looking for advice on what to purchase, don't want to spend alot of money, say $200.00 or less. looking online at home depot's Skil saw. I liked the reviews on it, anyone have one of these or any input would help me in making a decision, i would appreciate. thank you.

if I had 200 to spend on a table saw I would be looking for a used 400-500 saw for 200 .

try classifieds or craigs list .

free on line classifieds

go the list on the right and pick the city closest to you look under for sale , tools

you can also search ebay and limit the search to items within a certain distance from you for local pick up.

I would agree with Mango
The under $200 table saws are OK for ripping a deck board or two (once you spend the additional money for a good blade), but that's about as accurate as they get
They will get very frustrating very quickly for the average hobbyist's/homeowner/DIY use for pretty much anything other than that
I would suggest stepping up, or buying used

let me give you another used source , I got my current table saw at Habitat for humanity restore 10"delta for $75 (Evan had a like new $50 blade )

great place for DIY building supplies and used tools

ours regularly has quality table saws for anywhere form 50 to 500
they don't last long so the key is to stop in often I'm there at least once a week , often two or three times and I rarely leave empty handed
