I have a approx. four year old gas water heater. Recently I tested the pressure relief valve. It works. But since I tested the valve there is a small drip coming from the valve. There was no drip prior to the test. Is there anyway to fix that drip without buying a new valve? Thanks for the help. John

Most times you can blast water through it a few times to clean it out and it will stop dripping.

Sometimes by snapping the handle you can crush the particle that is fouling the valve seat. Then flush more water through it and try again. If all else fails, replace the valve. Testing is a very good idea and knowing that the valve works is worth the occasional replacement required.
