I have installed 2 houses now and can not figure out how to cut around the closet brackets at the botom on the floor ? Do I cut them flush or leave a space then a little trim? do you use slicone? Would you even take out the bracket then install it on top of the floor?

Hi winter :) Welcome to the DIY forums. :)

What do you mean brackets? Can you post up a link to a photo of it?

They are folding closet doors, and have a slider at the top and they have a bracket at the botom of the door connected to the floor. So would you cut the laminate around as I have and it does not look the best to me?

Screw it to the jamb and let it rest on the floor without an anchor to the floor.

They are done like that around here with carpet in the room, because of the concrete issue.

Thanks for the reply. Would screwing it only to the Jam be enough to hold it tight enough?

I wouldn't have suggested it, if it were not. The bottom of the bracket sits on the floor, so there is no pull on the brackets.
