Hello all,
I have a room that used to be a porch that was added to this house many years ago. it has a full cellar beneath walled in by cinder block. 4.5 feet of the block is exposed to the elements and the cellar and room upstairs gets cold in the New England winter. I know it is an add-on because the original foundation is double-walled brick. The interior face of the block is inaccessable due to oil tanks and permanently installed shelving. I would like to replace the two windows with modern replacements and insulate the outside of the block wall with 1 7/8 rigid foam foundation insulation. Should I adhere the insulation to the block wall and can you suggest the appropriate product to apply? Also the house overhangs the foundation by 4 inches. Should I use t-111 to cover the rigid foam and how should I affix it. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks
