My 6 1/2" Dewalt saw will cut 2 1/4" deep at 90 degrees, and 1 5/8" deep at 45 degrees.

If in doubt, make a cut on a board thicker than the saw will cut, run the saw out past the end of the board and measure the depth of the groove you cut in the end. It's probably safe to assume that your saw will perform similarly to Xsleeper's.

my pc325 7 1/4 only does
90 degrees : 2 9/32
so the extra 3/4 of blade only gets me 1/32 of cut depth ?
I'm surprised

very good memory mango...
My Ryobi is 5 1/2. I bought a Ridgid Hammerdrill for work. I have to say, I like the Ridgid....a lot. I'm thinking of getting the Ridgid 18v circ saw to use instead of my Ryobi...due to the bigger blade.

Ah, the tool addiction in Rapture is really starting to blossom!

mitch....I'm trying really hard to fight this one. But after using the Ridgid 18v.... I like them. Maybe price difference will help shut this addiction down. I still need a table saw. I won't be able to get one if I switch 18v kits.
