My Craftsman chainsaw requires lots of strength to pull the rope starter fast enough to start the engine. Does anyone know of a device that can be attached that stores mechanical energy by cranking it up and then releasing that energy to spin the crankshaft rapidly, for starting?

None that I've ever heard of,but the most common cause for a 2-cycle engine to be hard to crank is low compression, carb.(at least 95 PSI is good) dirty carb.or diaphragms inside the carb.is stiff /dried out and not working.not enough spark or the exhoust system is colgged somewhere.
