We are remodeling the master bath and ripped out a small shower stall in favor of a new tub. There is an akwardly placed floor vent for the heater in front of where the new tub will go. we are also installing radiant heating under the ceramic tile we plan to lay. in order to do this, we need to move the heater vent. Is this very difficult? It seems simple to me but my husband thinks it will be overly complicated and would rather not bother. If we don't move it, cold tiles. Help!

Difficult is a relative term, but it can be done. If you are doing the floor anyhow, you would need to cut out some of the floor for duct access as well as the area in the wall where the new location wil be. The best thing would be to have a relative that does HVAC ducts.

It can be very easy or very complicated to move a heat duct, depending on accessibility. Do you have good access from below?
