have powermac saw with following problem. starts fine if heavily primed or fuel squirted down carb. wont run for more than 5 seconds (full throttle) then seems to run out of fuel. have clean fuel (50:1), checked fuel lines and filter. so is it maybe reed valves or crankcase seals or?

No, the carburetor will need to be removed, disassembled and reconditioned using the correct OE carburetor kit.
