Hi guys,
I have a Bradford White propane wh, 8 years old. Recently there has been a noticeable decrease in the hot water temperature (have to adjust shower hotter, washing machine water no longer steams on hot as the mrs likes, etc).

I have done two things to it recently. I turned it off for 5 days while out of town and I flushed it out (just as routine maintenance).
So I wondering, can flushing cause the decrease in temp? Or is it possible that something is wrong with it?

Check the reset on the elliment.

When you "turned it off", did you do it by lowering the thermostat or by turning off the gas. It's possible you didn't turn the thermostat back to it's original position.

When turning off, I unplugged the electrical cord and shut the gas valve. I did not touch the thermostat.
