I am completely baffled by my gas water heater. It would periodically refuse to ignite. I replace the gas valve, hot plate ignitor and senser, a it worked well for a few months. Now once again it does not ignite. The fan comes on, the hot plate ignitor glows but no gas, no flame. Strangely enough, we were without gas for a few days, and our water was much hotter on those few days than it now. I am really hoping to find a fix for this, funds are tight right now and a new heater is not an option. Any ideas?
