I'm ready to hang a picture and am in a quandry. There is an overhead light above this wall that sends the light down the wall. The light is not in the center of the wall. So do I center the picture to the wall or center it to the light above? Thanks!

Picture should be centered over the furniture grouping beneath. The picture is an integral part of that grouping and an added element that ties it together.

yes, ignore the light. or, if it really bothers you, position the picture under the light & then flank it on one side with a small sconce or something, for an asymmetrical grouping.

Any chance of moving the fixture or, alternately, adding a second matching fixture the same distance the other side of center?
