I'm in the process of getting a new home built and they just poured the driveway this week.

I noticed that the driveway slopes up from the road, then slightly back down, then back up to the house.

Check out the picture. I looks like water will run off to the middle of the driveway then off to the right where it's probably doing to be discharged toward the back of the house where there is a greenbelt.

Should I be concerned about the slope of the driveway and the water runoff?

No worries, just make sure your yard has a small swale to the right of the driveway to drain the yard to the street.

Should I mention this to our construction superintendant or will they know to do this?

BTW...I see that you are in Austin. My home is going up off of Parmer past Avery Ranch.

Thanks & Hookem!

I would tell them of my concern about the drainage and request that they make sure that the final grading addresses the issue. In writing.
