Hello all, This is my first post, so if it doesn't make much sense, sorry about that.

So, to get to the problem, we are refinishing our hardwood floors (they are about 50 years old). We sanded all floors with a drum sander with 24, 60 and 100 grit. Then we followed with an edge sander with the same grit. All the equipment was rented from Home Depot. The drum sander did a great job but the edger gummed up extremely fast.

To make a long story short, we have now put one coat of minwax oil based stain down on one of the floors and you can clearly see where the edger dug into the floor. How do we correct this. Should we sand again with a palm sander in the bad areas and then re-stain, or just put on a second coat of stain and hope it looks better. The stain is dark Mohagany from Minwax? Edges look horrible>>>>
