I want to insulate my crawl spaces. They have concrete floors and block walls. Can I stuff in-between the joists with R-19 Batt and not worry about fire code requirements to have 1/2 inch drywall or equivalent covering it? Also what would I use to cover the 3 foot walls? Can I use 1.5 inch thick polystyrene panels that are aluminum face sheeted? One space is 10 X 10 with 3 outside walls and the other is 16 X 24 with two 16 foot long walls on the outside.
