Not sure if this is the correct forum, I didn't see any postings about axes in tools.
I recently bought a wood chopping ax and have begun chopping wood for the first time. I noticed the ax mallet moves a little when I swing it, should I exchange the ax or is this normal.
Thanks.

Does it have a wood or fiberglass handle?
You can add shims to a wooden handle to tighten it up.

Fiberglass. Doesn't move much and not every time I swing it, but it does move. Just to be on the safe side, I'll exchange it for a new one.
