I pulled some ugly black plastic tiles off of my bathroom walls which left plaster walls and some tile adhesive that needs to be covered up.
I want to use Wainscot or something, but I'm afraid nails won't stick in the plaster. If I can simply glue it on to the plaster walls, everything should be fine, but I don't know if I should do that.
anybody have any experience with Wainscoting or covering plaster walls? It's a smalll bathroom, but it's my main one and I want it to look nice, and I don't know if I'm up for ceramic tiling.
thanks

Welcome to the forums! If we are up to tiling, you can do it, just ask. However, if it is true plaster walls with lath behind it, you won't have any problem nailing the wainscotting to the walls. Gluing to the walls is a good opiton, but you will have to sand off the remaining glue residue prior to installation, to keep it all smooth. Use an appropriate paneling adhesive. Now, you will be left with a chair rail to top off the wainscotting, and reapplying the baseboard. You can rent a narrow crown stapler or a finish nailer and compressor if you don't have access to one. It ill make the installation of the base and chair rail much easier.
