How do I shut off this stupid countdown beep? Can't find anything in the User's Guide. Chimes are already off. Thought I could use the "volume" control but this doesn't seem to work. My next step is to smash the stupid thing - help!

It is field 37 in programming. However, with this being an ADT system, it will not allow you to change this. You can either arm for stay or deal with it. This feature is designed to reduce exit-error alarms.
