Hello all.
I have an older Craftsman radial arm saw, model 113.198251.
It is the electronic model, and I am needing to see if anyone has the printed circuit board that goes in the arm.
My saw is nearly perfect in every way, except the digital display does not work.
I've taken the board out, and can see where the circuitry has burned in two.
Or, does anyone know where a guy can buy a new board? I've already checked with Sears, and of course, it's not available.
Thanks for your help.

Your saw was made by Emerson Electric for Sears.
Emerson makes many power tools that are rebranded by retailers.
Ridgid power tools that Home Depot sells are made by Emerson.
You could try to research from this angle.

If you get it running you are likely eligible for an update through a recall on your model:

I have used an electronic radial arm saw but not sure if it was the same as yours.
Do you raise and lower the blade by a pushbutton switch connected to the cct board with a readout of the blade height?
Is is possible someone handy with electronics could bypass the board with a simple pushbutton set-up?
From what I remember the electronics only raised and lowered the motor assembly.

I think your parts are available on www3.sears.com. Piece 9 control. They are having some web problems so I could not find the price.

Thanks for the replies.
I've already done the recall on the guard. Don't care much for the guard, but the new top was sure needed.
I've had this saw for somewhere in the 20 year range.
The electronics on this saw are just for the blade depth, rip width, angle of cut, miter angle, etc. Nothing to do with raising or lowering.
I was thinking that a few years back, I called Sears and was told the pc board was no longer available. Never gave the Emerson angle any thought. I'll check with them.
Again, thanks for your help.

If you are able to locate the board, be sure to index it to the table top as all your cuts will be judged by the initial set up. Personally, I have never liked electronics telling me if I am ok or not. Manual adjustments leave nothing to chance. I don't even trust the lasers on cut off saws.
Good luck with your search. Never thought of the Emerson connection, either.
