Hi there. Cathedral ceiling, 20 yr old house, The sheetrock tape at the top seam (point) is dried and pulled away. Textured ceiling.
How can I repair before painting.
Glue stick? Or just a touch of joint compound? I don't want to tear it out and lay in new tape.

Tearing it out and retaping is the best way to repair it. You might be able to push some caulking or glue under the tape but no garuntees on how it will look.

Thanks Marksr. It's a 16' room and there is 1 spot of about 5' peeled back then 2 or 3 other small spots 4- 6" worth.

Tear it out and replace it... You'll be happier in the long run - you'll learn taping/mudding/texturing techniques - and it will last a lot longer.
