After checking fuses as Ed had suggested, and all were good, I tapped on overheat switches and termisters. Powered back up and had warm are coming out in Emergency setting. So now my question is whats the normal temp put out with a typical unit in Emergency mode? I have it set to 69 F is off now and have thermometer on register...waiting

You have a confusing sutuation. 1st question is why are using e-heat instead of HP? 2nd) you measure tempature difference measuring return air temp. and supply temp. Subtract the difference. The thermometer should be placed roughly 2ft from unit in the ductwork. I don't remember what the temp. difference should be. Maybe Ed will know.

When you put a post here it helps us all to stay in the same post. If you jump around we cant put it all together. Now like asked why do you want EME heat?? Ok if the fuse are good then when you go to EME on the tstat it should come on. If not check the sequenncers. Do you get Fan at fan on at the stat does the heat pump work?

Thanks Ed will remember the staying on track. I'm working with the emer heat only because I noticed the heater was putting out cold air. I noticed the switch was in emer, thats why I'm tinkering with it. I have it now. stuck heat limit switch. thanks.

Go ahead and replace it now before you really need it.
