I just found a bird's nest in my roof vent for the furnace.. I cleaned the vent from the top of the roof. Now, when I try to turn on my gas knob from pilot to "on" the furnace lits, but then goes off along with the pilot light. I did stick a pipe down the vent while I was on the roof, and it seemed clear, also put in new screening. Any help , please! I don't want to freeze during deer hunting season!

You probably got some of the nest down into the furnace. Another possibility is the screen is restricting the exhaust.

What are the burners like, clean ? Id clean the pilot light venturi and put in a new thermocouple. You have LP . How long ago was the psi checked on the lines should be 11"W/C.
Might also check on the pressure regulators on the lines .At the small vent holes on them and see that no bugs have blocked them off. They like to do that a lot even spiders.
