I made a recent add-on that included a new water heater and new plumbing. I don't use the system often but it's been months and the hot water pipes continue to make sputtering and gurgling sounds. I'm pretty sure I've run enough water through the system to clear out any air bubbles.
So, any ideas what is going on?

It doesn't take much air to make sputtering at a faucet. When my new home was completed, I had a pipe that was leaking when the pipes were pressurized. When the repair was finished, I had to run wtare for 30 min. whith all lines open to purge the air. I still had sputtering fro a day or two. Shut down the hotwater tank and open all cold and hot lines for 30 min. Than see how it seems the following day.
