I have a ruud furnace and everything lights up and fires, but the blower won't come on unless i flip the switch from auto to on. any suggestions?

Leave the fan in ON for now if you need heat.
Sounds like two things.
Heating relay is not turning the fan on.
or, The winding in the motor on that speed is out. can try another speed wire to see if it's the motor or the board.

well i did just replace the motor in August. and i think i wired up low and med. speed like the old one was. Left yellow off i think? could that be the problem?

Remove the Red and try Yellow and see if it runs. If it don't then it's the control that turns on the blower.

I ended up running the furnace in the on position till about half way through its cycle, then flipped back to auto. seems to be running correct now. thanks for your input.

I have a sears brand gas furnace and the other day I noticed when you turn to heat it wont come on. At first we just switched the thermostat to on instead of auto and that worked at first now even when turned to on still blows out cool air. What should I do? The thermostat is 1 year old. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can try an jump at the tstat from R to W. If the furnace dont come on then its not in the tstat. Next is the board and does the pilot light come on.
