My AC and Heat isnt working
Where should I start looking?

I have tried replacing teh thermostat, bringing down teh temprature very mow as well as taking it high
Neither will force the AC or heat to kick in
Any ideas ?
Getting desperate...

I have a AC unit from Amana
and Gas based\forced ai heating

I bought the house from someoen so am not teh original purchaser of these units

Start with do you have electric power to the furnace 110V and 220V to the AC. is the 24V transformer good or a fuse out on the board.
Might be as you are new call a tech and be there when they come. Go over the hole unit with them. Dont forget a new air filter ever 30 to 90 days .

Have you checked to make sure the breaker/fuse at the main panel is on/ok?

Some homes had a power switch/fuse next or near the furnace. make sure that's is on/ok as well.
