This is a brand new refrigerator. I am trying to connect my icemaker. However, after connecting the water pipe from the water supply to the refrigerator connection atthe bottom, the water doesnt seem to flow into the refrigerator and it causes a leak right at the connection(brass compression nut). Is there a valve that need to be opened to make the water flow into the refrigerator or what am I not doing right?

It will take some time untill the freezer & icemaker get down in temp. to make icemaker come on & make ice. The icemaker sends the power to water valve to come on & fill. No valve to manually open. Make sure the metal arm on icemaker is down. If arm is up, icemaker is in off position. As for the leak at connection, try tightening a little more. Dave
