Greetings everyone,

First time poster on DoItYourself!

I have a very simple (I think!) question.

I am about to purchase a Heat pump. It will either be a Lennox or Carrier. Overall, which of the two companies you recommand the most? and Why?

Note that I already have a Lennox furnace installed. I'm considering to purchase the Carrier because I know I can have a good deal as I know the seller. If it wasnt for this, I would've decided on Lennox pretty quickly.

Saddly, I do not have the model numbers with me right now. I can try to post them tonight, if it can help.

I hope someone will be able to help me out with their suggestions and comments.

Thanks!!!!

Id go for the Lennox for sure.they are good all around and it will wire right into the furnace Stay with the R22.
it will be made till 2030. Have you checked out fuel cost for there? go
http://warmair.net and compare fuel cost . could be you can go electric with the heat pump.

I'm new to DIY also, but I agree with ED. Just wondering is the contractor replacing the indoor coil and line set as well or just the outdoor unit? If replacing it's best to replace the all 3 components.
