I have an old oven hood that I never use except for the light.

I would love to remove it and have a pot rack and light there instead.

Is it possible? Can anyone direct me to or give me instructions on doing it?

You dont say vent or ventless. But if you look in it. You will see the electric power comeing into it. Turn the power off to it and take the wires apart. There should be some screws there holding it up take them out and go from there. For what you want to do.
