I have a DSC 632 system that was knocked out during a thunderstorm and after failed attempts to reset the system I could not so I purchased a used PC1555 control module off ebay for 10 dollars and figured I would give this a try before calling a pro out to charge me an arm and a leg to fix it.

My system is not monitored so I know I need to make sure the phone line monitoring is disabled.

Whan I recieved the PC1555 module I noticed there were 2 resistors in Z5, Common, and Z6 and my original module did not use resistors so I removed them and installed the wires only.

This is what I get on my LED keypads after installing the new\used PC1555 board. I have zones 1-6 lights and the system light that stay on solid and zone 7 and 8 are off.

After reading another thread it sounds like I need to turn off the resistor function but after trying installer codes 1555 and 5555 I have not been able to do it.

Any help would be great.

They sold you a board with the installer code changed. You can try the hardware default procedure but I have a sinking suspicion that the installer lockout function may have been used on this board.

Just want to say thank you MrRonFl, The hardware default worked great. Took me some reading on this forum to help get through the programing procedure but I got it and all seems to work now.

Thanks again.
