I have a corner closet that I would like to try to install a floor to ceiling lazy susan in the back corner. There are 2 doors so access should be easy.

Where do I find parts or plans to build one? I found a lower kitchen cabinet componenet, but where can I find a system that is 8 feet high that can hold 3-5 shelves?

Thanks.

Just wondering what it's for? You mean a lazy susan componet that's 8 feet high? That's pretty tall. Perhaps you can build (or buy) a shelf that high that would fit the system you saw. Or, depending on what you're actually using it for...build/buy a shelf so you can build or buy a lazy susan and install or put it in the shelf.

I'm just trying to picture what you're using it for.

I have a corner closet that I am trying go gain the most utility out of.

Like a lazy susan makes a corner kitchen cabinet efficient, I was hoping for something long those lines.

So Imagine an L shaped closet with a lazy susan at the right angle of the L. I have doors entering both sections of the closet.

8' tall, I can put the little used items up there and have a step stool to unload them as necessary.

Thoughts? Galvanized pipe with graphite on the end?

I built a turntable using a series of regular shelves and placing a large turntable (like for a T.V.) on each shelf. Each turntable will turn independently. I cut circles out of white faced masonite and added edges buy using a piece of L shaped plastic trim. I cut V shaped notches on one edge of the trim so it would bend around the circle and glued and stapled it to the masonite. Then I fastened the circle to a turntable I purchased from Menards Building Store. A closet turntable may not need edges unless it is used for small items like bottles etc. The masonite circle can be 1/2 inch smaller than the inside measurements of the corner closet. It has worked great for 3 years now. I did not fasten the turntable to the shelf so I could take it out if I wanted to.

Hmmm....I've had one of those before
It went from floor to (almost) ceiling inside a large, armoir-type cabinet
It was very convenient, as there was no "back" of the cabinet for things to get lost in and forgotten
Just a spin and the back is the front

I no longer live there, else I'd pull it apart and take a look
I'm sure it was part of the (kitchen) cabinet systems

I carry a few lines of closet organization systems, and don't recall seeing one of those in any of the product lines

Maybe do a search for kitchen cabinet and/or accessories with your favorite search engine

Set the end on a used wheel bearing ( inner and outer race pictured here) ? Not sure about attaching shelves - Cut shelf circles and the center hole = the dia of the closet rod. How to attach to the rod??? Small shelf L brackets?

You can purchase tall lazy susans up to 6 shelves and 80 1/4" tall. See picture at this link: http://www.kitchensource.com/lazy-susan/pm-ls-fullround-polymer.htm#Full%20Round-Polymer%20Lazy%20Susans%20-%203-Tray%20Unit

I have enough to go on now, I appreciate all the responses.

Now I can buy or build, but I have to convince my wife that it is a good idea for space usage.

thanks again
