I have a Maytag washing machine that will not drain. I do not have the money right now to buy a new one, or get it fixed, but I do not want it to be ruined by old water. How can I drain this on my own without manually draining it?

How old is the machine? Does it spin? A model number would be real helpful. Possibly taking the drain hose out of the stand pipe and laying it on the floor will drain the water out. Might make a mess so take precautions to catch the water. Post back with age, model number and if it spins and we may be able to help you further.

You can siphon the water out.
If you have a piece of hose about 6 feet long you can use it. Or, you can buy a siphon with squeeze bulb in middle of hose at a hardware store.
If you decide to use a piece of hose to siphon it, and have never done this before, here's how: Put two big pitchers on the floor by the washer. Fill the hose with water. Stick one end of hose into washer below water line. Put other end of hose in your mouth and suck hard. Quickly put this end of hose down into one of the pitchers on the floor. Water should start flowing into the pitcher. If not, repeat the sucking action. When water nearly fills one pitcher, pull out hose and stick it in the other pitcher. Then go pour out the water from first pitcher. Continue till done.
Since you didn't ask about how to fix the root problem, I won't comment on that.
Good luck!
