Im trying to program the pager option on the fa148c, but when I attempt to enter any data field past *99, it acts like the 100's place is nonexistent. For example, when I enter *160 to program pager numbers, it takes me to the *60 data field. Has anyone had this problem? Is this just something the fa148c doesnt do (if so, how do I program the pager portion?)

Try entering #190. If it displays the keypad 2 information (which may be zeros), then nothing is wrong with the data entry. The FA is a modified version of the original Vista panel. One of the changes may be that FA had Honeywell disable the pager function for this model.

I tried the #190 to no avail. It acts like I am just pressing #90. It seems to ignore the leading 1, which I assume is correct, since there are no programming fields that begin with *1 other than those above 100. Still, it acts as though it simply discard the leading 1 rather than noting it so it will kick over to the 100's instead of going to 60. I had thought that this might be a disabled feature on the fa148c, but all the brochures and pamphlets I've read on the unit list it as being capable of handling two pagers.

The keypad is currently set as non-addressable. Does this matter? I've tried setting it as 16, but it won't boot up when it's set that way; it just gives a blank screen. Is there something I need to do to get it to 16, and does that even matter?

Thanks again for you guys' help, Ive found alot of good stuff on this site so far.

Try *93 to goto 2nd page than *60

No, *93 is the setting for "swinger suppression". What I'm thinking is that the FA-148c is based on either the Vista 15 or the Vista 10se. The "P" series panels use a different programming map.

In this case, pager is handled differently.

Take a close look at the circuit board. Somewhere on there there there will be a part number with a letter V in the sequence. That number will give me the proper ademco vista series part number to work with.

I was thinking it was more of a vista50p . I found a pdf file. it is a vista15p but the paging is on the secondary phone line. If I think about it I can check compass at work

The pcb shows a SAV15GEN printed at the top. Ron, I hope this is the right string. Thanks!

Now we're cooking. This panel is a clone of a vista-15 (no "p")

I've been mis-IDing it myself. (ademco family panels are maddening for the tech, they are similar enough that only the oddball functions trip you up...)

You enter the pager phone number in *42.
Next, enter *46 7 (this sets the panel to contact ID, which the pager format has to use to translate)
Next, you enter *47 7 (this tells the panel to send secondary phone numbers as a pager output)

If you are not using a conventional monitoring setup, make sure there is no phone number in *41 by entering *41*

I think that that will do the trick.

Awesome, I believe that did it. Can anyone point me to a programming/installation manual for the Vista 15 [not P]? Thanks guys!
