I have a wet saw (an HD model I bought for $100).
I need to cut a marble door saddle - it will be used as a window sill in a shower.
Can I cut it with this saw? Its definitely thicker than tile, and I need to rip it long ways.

If your talking about a diamond blade tub saw then yes it should work fine.

Might be stating the obvious here, but paranoia is a driving force in my life - make sure you seal the tile after installation, as water will soak through marble if not sealed.

I havent even looked at my saw in two years. Is a tub saw where the material being cut sits in a tub , I THINK Ive seen them. But mine has a tub of water underneath. I think the blade is just kept wet but the table top is not submerged. Is itthe same thing?

Don't let my terminology confuse you :) Diamond sawblade + water splashing on it = cut marble.
