I moved into a house with a Ranger 8600 by Caddx Control and cannot reset the master code since I do not have it. Does anyone know how to reset the system to its default values and programming?

It depends on whether the original installer code is in place, or if the system has one of the LCD keypads installed.

Try entering 9713. If you then press # a couple of times, and the number of zone LEDs lit shifts around, then you are in program mode, and are in luck. Enter 230# to exit programming mode and let us know if it worked.

If that doesn't work and you don't have one of the LCD keypads, then you are basically stuck. Short of a lucky guess, there's no other way into the programming of one of these panels, even the dialup software is a crapshoot.
