I have to help a friend remove about 100 square feet of old ceramic tile on Tuesday. What is the best way to do this? I'll obviously know a lot more about the job when I go over there, but in general, any advice?
I have access to lots of tools, but do I need something special?

Safety glasses, sledge hammer, & chisel. There are pneumatic chisels/power scrapers that can be rented for quick and easy removal of large areas. Place a towel over the area you plan to hammer to prevent pieces from flying up and hurting you. If you go with the noisy pneumatic equipment, it is noisy and you should wear ear plugs.
